Percept ties up with the Brand Gallery, USA
In one grand strategic move, that could probably change the face of brand strategies for screen media in India, Percept entered into a business alliance with one of the world’s most premium brand design companies - ‘The Brand Gallery’. This marks an era of specialized brand development and positioning implementations that are extremely focused and category specific. A concept brought in for the very first time in India, the “Percept – Brand Gallery” alliance will offer a set of specialized brand solutions to broadcasters, media & entertainment companies across the Indian subcontinent who are looking for high-end expertise to strategically create a new design, distinctive visual identity and quality content. Through this alliance Percept Limited will give ‘The Brand Gallery’ a physical presence in the Indian market, with a team of servicing people deployed for each client. All creative execution will be delivered from The Brand Gallery’s US office and Percept will service the business from the India office.
The size of the market is estimated to be INR 50 crores, and Percept will target a minimum share of 20%. Speaking on the joint venture, Mr. Sanjay Ahire, COO - Percept Pictures, who also spearheads the endeavor in India, commented, “Percept has always believed in doing things differently and setting trends. Our association with The Brand Gallery will enable us to inundate the Indian market with additional services for the media sphere. We strongly believe that this will add tremendous value to any broadcaster in today’s market that has intense competition and increased consumer fatigue”.

Percept bags 3 CNBC Awaaz 'Consumer Awards’
Percept won 3 prestigious awards at the 6th edition of the 'Consumer Awards 2010’ organized by CNBC AWAAZ recently. Percept was recognized for their strategic & creative contribution towards making BSNL the most preferred brand in the category of Broadband Service Providers. Percept was also felicitated for their creative contribution towards making HERO HONDA the most preferred of 2 wheelers. The awards were received by Harindra Singh, Managing Director, Percept Limited. The CNBC AWAAZ Consumer Awards 2010 awards have been awarded on the basis of an exhaustive and comprehensive research which was conducted across the country, both in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, to arrive at a list of 'India's Most Preferred Brands' as perceived by the end consumer. CNBC AWAAZ conducted this research in association with The Nielsen Company.

Percept, Davar to make a social difference through Dance
Shiamak Davar, Guru of contemporary dance in India and Percept, India’s leading EMC conglomerate have established themselves in time to be pioneers and leaders in each of their respective fields. These two forces representing the talent and the business of entertainment shall now embark upon a journey to leverage their established equity to create a movement through the medium of Dance and Entertainment.
Said Shailendra Singh, Jt. Managing Director, Percept Limited, “Shiamak is the Guru of contemporary dance in India and Percept is extremely happy to put in all muscle to make a social difference with a talent of his calibre. Percept has been experimenting with talent from untapped genres such as music, boxing, etc. Dance entertainment is a growing genre and we are ready to explore this space by launching few interesting properties.”
The objective of this association between Shiamak and Percept would be to launch four entertainment and dance based initiatives with the ultimate goal of making a social difference. Both Percept and Shiamak have been actively involved in creating awareness about national social concerns and have contributed to the society at large through various initiatives, charitable trusts, etc, however together they aspire to make a greater difference through four carefully planned initiatives. Dancer is Shiamak’s directorial debut with a film based on dance. The film will be a story of an underdog who becomes an achiever with a help of a mentor. It’s also a story of relationship between a mentor and prodigy. The feature film will have cameos by Bollywood celebrities that have been trained by Shiamak.

Percept to handle creative duties for Panasonic
IBD India, Percept out-of-home (POOH) and Percept Knorigin which are divisions of Percept Limited 'kick-started' the Panasonic “Sound for India” campaign in July 2010. IBD India has handled the creative duties in terms of print, online and retail design; Percept Out-Of-Home has done the OOH & on ground activation while Percept Knorigin has created the website.
Commenting on the campaign, Rahul Gupta, MD, IBD India said, “Panasonic wanted to reach out to dominant middle class in Tier II & Tier III cities with LCD TVs having superior sound output. IBD partnered with Panasonic to heighten the ‘Sound’ advantage. We positioned the TV as the perfect choice for the Indians who are passionate about sounds. The Sound for India campaign celebrates the sounds that represent India.”
The inspiration and motive for the campaign is based on the consumer insight which demands low energy consumption for Electronic products. Panasonic with this campaign intends to revolutionize the essence of LCD TV in Indian households.
