PDM India executes the Sahara Indian Sports Awards
Sahara India Pariwar, a major business conglomerate, the prime promoter and patron of sports in India hosted its newest sports initiative ‘SAHARA INDIAN SPORTS AWARDS’. The entire event was conceptualized and managed by PDM India. The comprehensive glittering awards ceremony was created to felicitate the achievement and efforts of Indian sportspersons in their respective fields. The gala awards ceremony was held on November 9, 2009 at Taj Lands End amidst sporting legends and icons from various sports.
The awards were developed with the intent to bring together all sports, both popular and the not so popular ones, on a common platform to recognize and honour the achievements of Indian sportspersons. The awards were also aimed to provide recognition to upcoming young talents as well as to recognize the contribution of coaches, sports officials and administrators.
The first ‘Sahara Indian Sports Awards’ was graced by Indian Sporting Legends like Mr. Sunil Gavaskar (Cricket), Mr. Dhanraj Pillai (Hockey), Ms. Ashwini Nachappa (Athletics), Mr. I.M. Vijayan (Football), Mr. Kamlesh Mehta (Table Tennis), Mr. Mehrwan Daruwalla (Squash), Mr. Michael Ferreira (Billiards), Mr. Nandan Bal (Tennis), Mr. Praveen Thipsay (Chess), Mr. Pullela Gopichand (Badminton) and Mr. Vikramjit Singh (Golf).
Sunburn 2009 adds up the fun, launches Sunburn Calendar
Mr. Shailendra Singh, Jt. MD, Percept Limited, recently hosted the sneak preview of a new addition to the Sunburn Festival 2009 – the Sunburn Calendar. This 12-page calendar will feature 12 gorgeous beauties centered around the theme ‘Lifeoholic’. The theme represents everything that Sunburn stands for, a complete ‘Celebration of Life’.
The calendar has been shot by photographer Ram Bherwani and styled by Pooja Shukla. The photo shoot was set on the pristine beaches of Goa to attain the unique look and feel of its sand, sun and vibrancy.
Anushka Manchanda and Aarti Chhabria turned up at the event to lend their support to the festival. The event also saw DJ Sean Tyas from New York perform. He will also be performing at Sunburn 2009 in Goa.
