The MMAF brought together leaders of the industry who are focused on building mobile campaigns around branding, engagement and analysis, for a Smarter Tomorrow. MMAF India 2012 featured an unparalleled programme that celebrated the way that the mobile channel is redefining marketing. Bihar Tourism shines at Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Mauritius
Percept Activ conceptualized, coordinated and executed the tourism road show organised by Government of Bihar on the eve of Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (Non-resident Indian Day) on Oct. 27 and 28, organised by Ministry of Indian Overseas Affairs, Government of India in collaboration with Government of Mauritius. The road show witnessed a befitting response and enthusiasm by the Pravasi Indians. The two member delegation led by Sunil Kumar, Minister of Tourism, Bihar, and D.K Srivastava, Director, Tourism Bihar, left no stone unturned in promoting Bihar Tourism and ensuring that maximum benefits could be derived out of this occasion. Percept Activ made in-depth research and analysis, providing innovative ideas, strategic opportunities and tailor-made solutions to the Bihar government. The event kick started at the Mauritian Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) with presentation on Bihar tourism by Srivastava to leading tour operators of Mauritius. The audience were taken on a journey of the ancient locations of Bihar by a 360 degree virtual tour. This was followed by a press conference jointly addressed by Kumar and Yeung Sik Yuen, Minister of Tourism - Mauritius, in the presence of Mookhesswur Choonee, Minister of Art & Culture - Mauritius. The strategically located photo exhibition of important ancient heritage of Bihar was exhibited at the same venue where Pravasi Bhartiya Divas was held. The photo exhibition was jointly inaugurated by Choonee and Kumar in the presence of Vylvar Ravi, Union Minister for Indian Overseas Affair - Government of India. Kumar extended an invitation to the President of Mauritius to visit Bihar which he gladly accepted and directed the Indian High Commission to plan the same in January 2013. On the final day, a MOU was signed between Srivastava and President of Tour Operators in Mauritius. After signing the MOU, the delegation was welcomed at Parliament of Mauritius. Percept Activ managed the entire event show for Bihar Tourism including the press meet, meetings with important tour operators along with their President and Secretary, briefings, luncheons, networking dinners, local press syndication, local government liaising and all guest protocol and movements.

Sufi Mahotsav, 2012, organized by the State Tourism Department was inaugurated by the Tourism Minister, Mr.Sunil Kumar, where a huge crowd gathered to celebrate Sufi music at the Bibi Kamal shrine. Percept Activ strived to design elements of creativity which translates seamlessly into a memorable experience for the audience, focusing both on promotional and event based activation. Sufism stresses on peace and brotherhood among people and the successful execution of the Sufi Mahaotsav, in its second year, symbolised a new era of harmony in the region.A musical delight to all present, the event was attended by the Hon. Chief Minister, Shri Nitish Kumar, along with many of his cabinet colleagues and a large entourage of bureaucrats. The presence of such high profile individuals highlighted the importance of a peaceful co-existence, which is the need of the hour in the region. Apart from the glorious celebration, the most awaited performance of the evening was most definitely that of Javed Ali, renowned Bollywood playback singer, who had the crowd cheering and enjoying themselves to the hilt. Thousands of people, who had gathered at the venue in Kako village, experienced an electrifying musical spectacle and demanded that such programmes be organised at the shrine more frequently.

Percept Activ managed the on-ground activities of Canon PhotoMarathon 2012 in New Delhi at Kalkaji Public School, Kalkaji, New Delhi on November 4, 2012. The event held on November 4, 2012 is a subset of the extremely acclaimed Canon Photo Marathon Asia 2012.The Canon PhotoMarathon 2012 kicked off for the 10th consecutive year globally & for the 4th consecutive year in India. Spanning five countries, this year's competition will bring together photographic talents from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. Lucky winners of the region's largest photo competition were gifted 'all expenses paid tickets' to Hungary. Percept Activ, which has been handling Canon's on-ground activities for past five years, executed it successfully this year as well. Percept Activ strived to design elements of creativity which translates seamlessly into a memorable experience for the audience, focusing both on promotional and event based activation. An estimated 1,000 photography enthusiasts were engaged through the initiative in India. Canon Photo Marathon India is a unique photo competition that encourages participants to create photographic masterpieces in line with assigned themes – under time pressure. Percept Out of Home engages car enthusiasts of all age groups in an OOH campaign. The activity aims to promote the Tata Motor's Safari Storme from the pioneer of SUV in India. The overall OOH promotion that started at the end of October will continue for a span of two months. At present the OOH drive has 'stormed' up the Northern region of India highlighting power, performance, style, opulence and comfort about the second generation SUV from TATA Motors. The driving objective of the campaign has been to communicate with key markets where TATA Safari is a very popular car and has achieved a cult status. A majority of large formats have been used for this activation in the form of Billboards and Unipoles to get maximum visibility and exposure apart from creating awareness for the same. The target audience is SEC A & B.

The campaign commenced on 17 October, 2012 and will continue for a month.The campaign spans over 40 cities where the car sales are high. Premium large format billboards, premium and innovative airport media such as airport wall branding, FIDS and in-flight branding have been used to communicate the message to the target group of Males Sec A-B (25 to 45 years). Tata Manza is one of the most premier and successful brands in the Tata Motors brand portfolio. Taking the brand proposition a step further, Tata Motors has currently used the creative of "New Manza- The Club Sedan" to showcase 3 premium up-gradations to the car as the most luxurious experience in its class.

Swedish House Mafia enthrall with their electro-trance beats
On their maiden visit to India, Grammy nominated international Swedish electronic dance music trio Swedish House Mafia set the stage on fire at a concert in Delhi. Fans turned up in huge numbers to get a taste of the trio Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, who enthralled the audience for close to two hours by churning out hits like 'Save the World' and 'Don't you worry Child' at the Sunburn Arena on 18 November 2012. Sebastian posted a photo on twitter after the concert with the trio and a digitally re-mastered Indian flag in the background. "Thank you India for all your raveness" was the caption of the photograph. The trio introduced a set list comprising 22 refreshing tracks from their second compilation album entitled 'Until Now' - the official soundtrack of One Last Tour with hit tracks like 'In My Mind', 'Greyhound' and 'One'. A number of fans also flew in from Mumbai, after their concert there got postponed in wake of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray's demise on Saturday but "Wow Delhi, India - thanks so much for tonight - we love India and stay tuned for the Mumbai makeup date," wrote Axwell after the concert on his Twitter page. Prior to Swedish House Mafia three Indian acts Nikhil Chinappa, DJ Mash and Nawed Khan enthralled the audience. |

When Swedish House Mafia's gig in Mumbai was cancelled and fans were promised a replacement date, there were those who didn't believe this would happen. After days of back and forth and speculation, a new date for Mumbai was finally been announced and in a surprise move, a date for Bangalore was announced too. After the cancellation of the Mumbai gig and the promise of a return to India, fans started a 'SHM Bangalore' topic on social networking site Twitter on November 20, which began trending around the country. What started in jest became a platform for Bangalore fans to express their eagerness in having the trio performs in their city and eventually, the enthusiasm became impossible to ignore. At 1.30 pm on 22 November 2012, the band announced via their Twitter page, "India. We return. Bengaluru 20th Jan. Mumbai 22 Jan." |
