Percept Picture Company’s 'Kanchivaram' won top honors at the V. Shantaram Awards 2009. Percept Picture Company bagged the Gold Award in the ‘Best Motion Picture’ category for ‘Kanchivaram’, beating films like 'Love Aaj Kal’, ‘New York’, ‘Bhramaram’, ‘Garibcha Paus’ and ‘Harishchandrachi Factory’. Priyadarshan won the celebrated Gold Award in the ‘Best Director’ category for Kanchivaram, while Actor Prakash Raj bagged the ‘Best Actor’ Award for his touching performance in the same film. Acclaimed cinematographer Thiru also won an award in the ‘Best Cinematography’ category for the same film. It was a glorious evening for Percept Picture Company as Nandita Das won the ‘Best Debutant Director’ Award for ‘Firaaq’, another heartwarming film from the PPC stable.

PDM India executed Canon’s on ground marketing activity targeted at photojournalists. PDM India executed this activity in Chennai, Delhi and three other cities. Canon had called for submission of images from photojournalists on a particular theme and the winners were awarded. The objective of this activity was to promote Canon India’s range of cameras to the photojournalists.

Balaji Telefilms launched its new talent portal, Hoonur.com with a multimedia campaign 'Hoonur Dikha, Star Banja' (Show your talent and be a Star). The talent auditions are being managed by PDM and will be held from December 2009 through January 2010 across the 8 cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Raipur, Lucknow, Pune and Ahmedabad. |

Percept Picture Company – Ad Films Division in association with RDP has produced a landmark television commercial (TVC) for Sahara City Homes. The TVC, for the first time ever, will feature nine top cricketers – M S Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Virendra Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Zaheer Khan and Sourav Ganguly. The commercial is directed by Saujat Saudagar and the post production was executed by one of the best production house in South East Asia, ‘Black Magic Studio Singapore.’

The creative team at AMO has made its mark in the emerging media space by picking up three awards in the “Eager to Innovate” competition held by Mid-Day.
The contest aimed at finding the best unreleased work in advertising agencies. The winning entries were “Warped Mike” for Star After Mint (Art: Hiren Desai, Copy: Bob D’Silva; "Members Crossing" for Gold's Gym (Art: Tabish Shaikh, Copy: Ganapathy R.); and "Needle eye" for Shivam Optics (Art: Suneel K, Copy: Jayant Savant).

P9 Integrated has conceptualized and created the making of the new Bajaj Almond Hair Oil television commercial. The brand will soon launch this commercial after a long hiatus and has roped in Bollywood diva Lara Dutta. P9 Integrated has also created a special montage of the popular TV show ‘Idea Rocks’. The montage will showcase various episodes from the show in addition to bytes from their host Karan Grover and feature the star cast of 3 Idiots who will promote the finale of ‘Idea Rocks’.

P9 Integrated is also creating a music video for Star Cement featuring well known music artist Bhupen Hazarika, the rock singer Lou Majow, pop / gospel singer Mami Varte, and the popular Tollywood actor Prosenjit. P9 will be managing the lyricists, composers, and director for the music video. The music video will be shot in English and four different regional languages of North-East India including Khasi (Meghalaya), Assamese (Assam), Bengali (Barak Valley and Tripura), and Mizo (Mizoram). |
