All set for David Guetta!

Grammy award-winning DJ David Guetta performed in Goa on December 8 at the Baga beach ground, Goa for the grand finale of 'Superstar India', an initiative which offers recognition to Indian DJs. "We are very excited to bring in Guetta to India for the second time for an epic gig that promises to be a thrilling and memorable experience," said Shailendra Singh, Managing Director of Percept Limited. Fans can expect to groove to some of his chart topping dance numbers like 'One Love', 'I Gotta Feeling', 'Titanium', 'When Love Takes Over', 'Gettin Over You', 'The World Is Mine', and 'Little Bad Girl' among others, he said. Guetta, a hugely popular artist in Europe and America, is visiting India again after his March 2012 tour. Percept launches ‘Windsong Music Festival’ to promote Alternate, Original Indian Live Music

A forerunner in the evolution of the Indian Music Festival scenario Percept’s latest offering Windsong in association with Yellow Festivals Pvt Ltd, was aimed to support & grow the Indian Live Music Scene, Indian Bands & Indian Talent. Held on 24 & 25 December 2012 at Baga Beach, Goa, the very first edition of ‘Windsong’ featured Back to back headliners and the best live acts in the country. Windsong Goa 2012 saw popular artists such as Lucky Ali, Strings, Rabbi Shergill, Agnee, Monica Dogra (Shaa’ir n Func), Anushka Manchanda (Shkabang), Ankur & Sidd, Soulmate and Papon & The East India Co. take the crowd by storm. Music lovers enjoyed a range of Folk, Jazz, Rock, Funk, Blues and Soul music all at one festival. The event not only offered the best of what Indian sounds and talent have to showcase but also witnessed state of the art technology & effects that made it a visual delight par excellence.

Sunburn 2012 scorches the sands of Goa!

The 6th edition of Asia's premier music festival ‘Sunburn’ took place on December 27, 28 & 29, 2012 at Candolim, Goa and featured a star packed lineup of some of the world's best headliners including Grammy winning DJ Paul Van Dyk, Grammy nominee Brian Transeau (BT) along with Dutch progressive house artists DJs Sander van Doorn and Fedde Le Grand. Paving the way for fresh talent, Sunburn 2012 also featured a plethora of new artists along with the best commercial DJs from world over. On display this year were Avalon, Sanjay Dutta, Anil Chawla, Firefly, Anish Sood, DJ Shaan, Ash Roy, Tribal Flora and Reggae Rajahs amongst a plethora of young talented DJs.

The International music festival was six times larger, more extravagant and was the biggest, grandest and loudest Sunburn yet with over 150,000 Sunburnites attending the 3 day festival. Sunburn 2012 had 7 stages and over 120 artists performing. Sunburn 2012 was more than just spell binding music. Sunburnites heartily indulged in a host of other recreational entertainment on offer.  Adventure enthusiasts challenged their skill by rock climbing on the artificial rock wall - a fixture at Sunburn. There was volley ball for Sunburnites interested in sports. And those looking to take to the skies did that through their professionally built kites. A new addition to the list of recreational activities was the music library stocking books on EDM, other genres of music and artists.

Taking a step towards being more environment friendly, Sunburn Goa this year announced a ‘Leave No Trace’ initiative in association with Woodland. The initiative aimed at educating Sunburn fans to be more environmentally conscious by spreading awareness and a sense of responsibility towards ones ecological footprint. The campaign involved a number of on-ground activities such as art installations at the venue made out of waste materials, a unique interactive tree structure inviting party-goers to participate in a cleanliness drive at the venue and eco-friendly displays and signage all around. The campaign also had Sunburn volunteers spreading the ‘Leave No Trace’ message amongst guests at venue. Along with recycling garbage cans for plastic, glass and other items spread across Candolim Beach, the alcohol glasses at Sunburn had captions like “Trash Me” and “I Deserve a Bin”. Volunteers along with Sunburn enthusiasts took the opportunity to clean the venue during and after the event, to restore the beach to its original beauty.

Along with a staggering lineup of artists, Sunburn this year also sported a world class line-up of safety and security arrangements. With a three level security cordon and ‘Zero Drug’ policy, organizers ensured that Sunburn fans experienced the best of EDM artists and music in a safe and drug-free environment.

Sunburn 2012 was streamed live via Youtube across 82 countries reaching over 1 million fans across the world.

Percept supports HOPE 2012 – Bringing a smile and hope to Cancer afflicted children

“HOPE" as the word signifies, is a strong and positive belief of victory over Cancer. It is a celebration to spread the message, that “Cancer is Curable”. Percept extended their support to the efforts and initiatives undertaken by the Tata Memorial Hospital for their biggest annual event for pediatric cancer patients - Hope 2012 held on December 25, 2012. Hope 2012 witnessed the presence of Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Anurag Basu, Amol Gupte along with Dr. Satyapal Singh, Commissioner of Police, Mumbai and Mr. K P Raguhvanshi, Commissioner of Police, Thane who came together at the Tata Memorial Hospital to celebrate life and bring in Christmas cheer to cancer struck children. The day started with a prayer and lighting of the lamp, followed by a few words of wisdom and encouragement by the guests and patrons, which was followed by performances in Dance, Drama and Music by children. Percept extended support by helping with the on-ground activities, preparing AVs and national PR in an attempt to create mass awareness and raise funds for the cause.
