Percept Sports and Entertainment participated in the bid for managing the Film Festival and won the tender for Site Preparation, Decoration, Integration of various Events like Press Conference & Hi -Tea, Inaugural Ceremony, Venue branding and decoration, Closing Ceremony, Temporary infrastructure for Stalls, City Branding etc. for the 18th Kolkata International Film Festival,2012.Percept Ltd, having been in the entertainment, media & communication space since over 28 years and executed thousands of successful events including the International Film Festival of India - Goa 2011 & 2012 made KIFF feel more comfortable entrusting the project to Percept Sports and Entertainment. Percept Sports and Entertainment meticulously planned the Opening Ceremony of the film festival. The challenge for Percept Sports & Entertainment was to create a perfect & technically sound environment for the viewing of the Opening film at Netaji Indoor Stadium – a venue which is otherwise not self-sufficient to showcase films. The smallest of details like sound proofing of the walls & floor, perfect angle for the side AV screens, creation of the right distance between the main screen and the first row of audience, etc. were looked into with extreme care and attention by the production team. The other extremely important aspect of the event was “Decoration” of both the venues for the Opening & Closing Ceremony. Percept Sports & Entertainment came up with unique ideas and concepts to take the event to another level. The Percept Creative Team specially designed the venue gates keeping in mind the theme of the event. Percept OOH handled the city branding marvelously despite the short time span between receipt of creatives and deadlines for installation. They handled various elements like putting up the helium balloon 70 ft. above the main event building “Nandan Film Centre”, welcome gates, pillars, over-head arches across the city, AC bus branding etc. The event was attended by celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Mithun Chakraborty, Anushka Sharma, Rituparna Sen Gupta, Koel Mallick etc. at the Opening & Closing Ceremony.
