Ayan Chakraborty addresses students at the Pre-Convocation Seminar organized by the Sadhana™ Centre For Management & Leadership Development, Pune
“Creating Positivity & Possibilities for a Better World: Extraordinary Work of Ordinary People” was the theme of thePre-Convocation Seminar organized by the Sadhana™ Centre For Management & Leadership Development, Pune held on April 30 & May 1, 2011 under the ‘Learning from the Leaders Series’ at Hotel Le Meridien, Pune. The seminar witnessed speakers sharing their life stories with the students, spanning the story of their journey, the pain, the struggles and challenges faced, and the important lessons learned therein. Luminaries from various business verticals of Indian Commerce & Industries who addressed these students included Shri. T. N. Seshan, former Chief Election Commissioner of India, Shri. D. R. Kaarthikeyan, former Director of CBI and Director General of National Human Rights Commission.
Mr. Ayan Chakraborty, Chief Growth Officer, Percept/H, spoke about the dynamism, competition and scope for innovation in the advertising industry. He focused on life’s practical aspects that could be of value to these budding students rather than elaborating on repetitive theories and run-of-the-mill prescriptive stories. Ayan encouraged the students to face life's hurdles with determination, skill and competence in order to transcend barriers and deliver path-breaking solutions in the real world. His life stories enlightened and delighted the young crowd which was proven by the applause and feedback received at the end of his address.
In SCMLD’s endeavour to make its students see the vast opportunities present beyond the academic world, Percept’s contribution at this forum in terms of inspiring ‘Young India’ was well received by the students, academicians and business honchos present at the seminar.

‘Percept/H Champions ' win the Percept Premier League 2011, score a hat-trick
Keeping up with tradition, the Percept Premier League (PPL) 2011 brought a new wave of cricket frenzy to Perceptites in Mumbai. PPL 2011 commenced on April 15, 2011 and witnessed 16 teams from different Percept Group Companies battle it out for the coveted title. The nine-a-side in-house tournament transformed the P2 terrace into a cricket field and Perceptites into cricket legends.
The 16 teams included Percept Indians, Royal Allieds, PTM Patakas, Profile Warriors, Allied Gauls, Percept/H Champions, PDM Fighters, P9 Rockstars, AMO Ballbreakers, P9 Challengers, PDM Busters, PPC Rockers, POOH Game Changers, IBD Demolishers, Percept/H Tigers and POOH Jaanbaz Warriors.
Unlike the past two years (when the tournament was played on a knock out basis) PPL 2011 was conducted on a league basis, with 8 teams qualifying for the semi-finals. The cricket mania grew more interesting and intense when Percept’s very own JMD, Mr. Shailendra Singh played for the very first time ever in one of the matches representing the ‘Percept Indians’ team.
The exciting grand finale was played out between the 'Percept H Champions' and the ‘Percept Pictures Rockers’ on Friday, May 27, 2011 which marked the end of another fun-filled cricket season at Percept. While the 'Percept Pictures Rockers' team scored 39 runs, the 'Percept H Champions ' team scored 40 runs in just 4 overs thereby winning the title for the third consecutive year!
Mukesh Walse from Percept/H and Samidha Bhagat from Percept Limited (Corporate office) were chosen the 'Players of the Tournament’ and received gift vouchers and medals for their outstanding efforts in PPL 2011.
Kudos to the Percept/H Champions team for winning the PPL 2011 championship and scoring a brilliant hat-trick!
