The new film captures a little boy interacting with various animals at a zoo, while his parents shoot him with their Handycam. But when it’s time to leave, the kid gets unhappy about leaving his friends behind. His mother, with the help of Handycam’s ‘instant sharing’ advantage, projects the child’s endearing moments with the animals on the roof of the car and then on their bedroom ceiling making him relive the entire experience, instantaneously. Percept Art presents ‘Four Corners’ - an exclusive exhibition featuring five internationally acclaimed artists

Percept Art and Gallery Uber Art collaborated & presented an exclusive Art Exhibition entitled ‘Four Corners’ on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Percept Art Gallery, Mumbai. ‘Four Corners’, a Manjari Bhatnagar initiative, showcased the rare works of 5 globally renowned artists viz. Gautam Patole, Madhumita Bhattacharya, Debjani Datta, Vijay Gille and Prashant Patil Jaysing. The exhibition brought together the expressions and visions of these five internationally acclaimed artists to present a wide spectrum of creativity and serve as a platform to showcase works of art that communicated their inner expression of beauty, joy, calm and determination to fight the odds.

It was a phenomenal blend and display of oil, acrylic, water colours and charcoal as visitors revelled in the vivid colours and wide range of artistic expressions displayed at the gallery. Gautam Patole’s art focused on the mystical and rustic beauty of women, while Debjani Datta’s pieces d’art displayed the rhythm and rhyme found in the classical movements of Kathak dancers. Madhumita Bhattacharya portrayed the journey of little monks on their way to attaining Nirvana even as Vijay Gille’s art showcased the courage and nobility of endearing young warriors. Speciality Restaurants takes outdoor route for its IPO

To promote the initial public offer by Speciality Restaurants, more than 100 sites are placed at prominent locations across seven cities to target the maximum number of retail investors. Speciality Restaurants, which opened its initial public offer (IPO) on May 16, has promoted this offer through an out an out-of-home (OOH) campaign across seven cities in India, executed by Percept Out-Of-Home. The out of home creatives are mounted on large outdoor formats such as billboards and foot overbridge hoardings highlighting details from the offering, such as price band, date of bid and issue. The campaign has been designed and placed at prominent locations to garner maximum exposure and reach the target audience, the retail investor. More than 100 outdoor sites have been used across seven cities. Rajneesh Bahl, Business Head, Percept - OOH, says, "We have mainly focused on placing the outdoor creatives at crucial locations where maximum number of investors can be reached. As targeting investors required precise planning and detailing, we did research in each city to locate prominent sites."

The objective of the campaign was to create awareness across major metros and mini metros. The challenge was to execute the campaign in very little time." We had to execute the campaign overnight as we got the creatives on Sunday evening and had to execute all by Monday morning." The campaign was executed in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Jaipur. The 10-day campaign kicked off on May 9 and will end on May 18.
Ajay Chandwani and Winnifred Knight to co-chair DMAi Mumbai convention

The Direct Marketing Association: India (DMAi), the forum for integrated direct marketing, has announced the appointment of co-chairpersons for its first global convention in Mumbai in August. Ajay Chandwani, director, Percept Limited, and Winnifred Knight, member, Global Advisory Board, DMA US, will be co-chairpersons.Their role will encompass selection of content and speakers, overseeing strategic goals of DMAi, networking with industry thought leaders and promoting the convention.Commenting on the selection, Sanjiv Swarup, founder director, DMAi, said, “We are very proud to have both Ajay and Winnifred as co-chairpersons of the convention, and are certain that they will bring a plethora of acclaim and stewardship to this entire event. India debuts at the International Music Summit 2012 with Sunburn

Berger Paints organizes the premier edition of ‘Silken Nights’

Berger Paints organised its first ever ‘Silken Nights 2011-12' from May 18 to 20 at Zuri Hotels & Resorts in Goa. This event, which also saw the celebrations for the re-launch of the brand ‘Silk', was planned and executed by Percept ICE.According to the brief given by the client, the event had to host an exclusive itinerary of activities and engagement for the select dealers who lifted high volumes for the Silk brand. Thus, over the course of three days, Percept ICE bore many hats and served as event managers, tour guides, travel operators and help desks for the client and dealers.When the guests arrived, they were escorted to the venue in coaches which were packed with chilled beverages and wet tissues for comfort. At the hotel, they were greeted by hostesses in special Goan attire, while the staff adorned them with tikka and shell garlands. They were also given welcome kits containing a beach bag, straw hat, towel and flip-flops, while their rooms held a bottle of Port Wine and Goan sweets. They were also treated to a pre-booked 30 minute spa in their leisure time.The first night featured a Gala Night, which was a night of awards, entertainment and cocktails. The arriving guests were met with dhol drummers as they walked along the red carpet where the emcee, Freishia from Mumbai, was taking interviews and bytes from dealers to give them a celebrity feel. At the awards, 11 winners were deemed the ‘Emperors of Silk' and were awarded a trophy. A lucky draw was also held wherein a dealer from Kolkata won a Maruti A Star. A dummy key for the car was presented to the winner at the event.The entertainment for the gala night was provided by Ashwin Matthew and Khayali Ram, stand-up comedians from Bangalore and Haryana, respectively. The grand finale for the evening was the dance performance by Sanjeeda Sheikh from Nach Baliye, who was present at the event along with her troupe of six dancers.

The first half of the next day was devoted to sporty pursuits at Zuri Beach, where the guests had fun with the banana boats, jet skis, parasailing and bumper rides. The second half saw a sumptuous meal at Hotel Fidalgo in Panjim, followed by a shopping at the Panjim City Market and sight-seeing at Dona Paula, and a beautiful sunset scene at Miramar beach. The day rounded off with the guests enjoying themselves at the Casino Royale, which is India's largest casino vessel. Percept OOH propagates ‘endurance’ of Tata Indigo eCS

The objective of the campaign is to reinforce Tata Indigo eCS as the most reliable sedan built to handle the tough Indian terrains and roads.Percept Out of Home has executed an outdoor campaign for the Tata Indigo eCS, the entry-level that has entered the Limca Book of Records after completing 14,000 km in 15 days non-stop. The aim was to reinforce Tata Indigo eCS as the most reliable sedan built to handle the tough Indian terrains and roads.The duration of the OOH activity has been charted for 20 days starting May 9 to May 29, 2012 in 37 towns (metros and tier 2 cities). Hoardings have been put up at strategic locations such as entry/exit points of each city. The billboards on highways have publicised the arrival and presence of the car in each city. The campaign started four days prior to the arrival of the car and will continue for the next 16 days as an echo to the introductory message.The target group comprises working professionals at managerial level (25-30 years) looking to own their first entry-level sedan or those are upgrading from a small car/hatchback to a sedan.Rajneesh Bahl, Business Head – Outdoor, Percept-Out of Home, who has directed the campaign, said, “The sole aim of the current activity is to create a differentiator among other mid-level sedans available in metros and tier 2 towns. Olympus aligns creative and media business with Percept's Mash Advertising

The size of the business is estimated at Rs 12-15 crore. Mash Advertising, a subsidiary of the Percept Group, has won the creative and media duties of Olympus Imaging India. The business will be managed by the agency's Mumbai office. Mash Advertising won the business following a multi-agency pitch in Mumbai. The pitch involved several Mumbai-based creative agencies. Sources from the industry have confirmed the news to afaqs!. The size of the business is estimated at Rs 12-15 crore. It is learnt that Olympus plans to use a mix of TV, print, outdoor and digital media. The company also plans to increase spend on on-ground activities, and digital and social media. It may be recalled that in March, afaqs! carried a report on Olympus Imaging India scouting for a creative agency in Mumbai. For the record, the Olympus Camera business moved to Mudra (now DDB Mudra) in 2004 as a result of DDB's global alignment. Olympus Corporation was established in Tokyo, Japan in 1919. The company has its Indian head office in Mumbai. The India office of Olympus is principally involved in the marketing of digital still cameras, Olympus pen, DSLRs, accessories, binoculars and voice recorders. Olympus stores are already functional in Bengaluru, Kochi, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida and Pune.
