Percept launches ‘Bollywood Live’, India’s first LIVE Bollywood Dance Music Experience
After creating waves in the world of Electronic Dance & Music with ‘Sunburn’, Percept took the Bollywood experience to a new level with its brand new Intellectual Property (IP) - ‘Bollywood Live’, the first ever multicity Bollywood Dance Music Festival delivering the ultimate Bollywood experience to all Bollywood aficionados! The inaugural ‘Bollywood Live’ show was hosted at the PAN CARD CLUB, Pune on Friday, 4th March, 2011 from 5.00 pm onwards.
This was India’s first LIVE Bollywood Dance Music experience wherein prominent Bollywood DJ's including DJ Suketu, DJ Akhtar, DJ Hiren and DJ Lil’B came together on one stage to entertain the crowd with their latest compositions and remixes of popular Bollywood tracks. Sensational Dance Acts by other artists added to the magic on stage.
‘Bollywood Live’ also offered ‘Bollywood Bazaar’, an exclusive showground displaying Bollywood props and offering Bollywood merchandise, a Bollywood gaming zone and other fun activities. Patrons got to experience a unique Bollywood themed food zone called ‘Bollywood Tadka’ which wowed visitors with its diverse selection of innovative cuisines named after famous Bollywood celebrities.
The first ever ‘Bollywood Live’ show was presented by ‘Chevrolet’, in association with the ‘Gitanjali Group’ and was co-sponsored by ‘Bacardi’. Radio Mirchi was the official ‘Radio Partner’, Captions was the ‘Outdoor Partner’, Café Coffee Day and ARK Gallery were the ‘Retail Partners, Cinecurry was the ‘Online Partner’ and bookmyshow.com was the ‘Ticketing Partner’. Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication (SIMC) and International School of Business & Media (ISBM) were the Supporting Partners.
Percept unveils 'Champions of the World', a brand new global IP
Percept Limited launched a new global Intellectual Property in the entertainment arena called 'Champions of the World'. This concept will bring together under one roof the most celebrated super-icons in the arena of Sports, Cinema, Music, Business and other fields of Entertainment and Entrepreneurship.
Percept kicked off this iconic property in the genre of Cricket on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, in Mumbai. Wherein six former captains of World Cup winning cricket teams viz. Kapil Dev, Imran Khan, Arjuna Ranatunga, Clive Lloyd, Steve Waugh and Allan Border were roped together by Idea Cellular for an extensive marketing campaign for ICC World Cup 2011. A 360-degree campaign will be undertaken during the entire duration of World Cup 2011 to echo the message 'Keep Cricket Clean' across the cricketing world.
Said Mr. Shailendra Singh, Joint MD, Percept Limited, "The idea behind the 'Champions of the World' events is to bring together the most celebrated names in genre-specific bunches to India under one roof. We kick-started with cricket's six most iconized captains and we would be putting them together in an event that would go beyond what the IPL has to offer. As for the giants from the entertainment business we are close to sealing deals with some of the biggest names in Hollywood and beyond. I cannot reveal their names at this time."
Percept has in the past brought together several veteran cricketers for the ‘Good Luck’ Campaign for World Cups in 1999 and 2003 with brands like Hero Honda and LG.
Funkagenda kicked off Percept’s ‘Sunburn Hangover Tour’
Sunburn - Asia’s premiere EDM festival incepted by Percept presented the ‘Sunburn Hangover Tour’ – a one and only chance for fans to relive the Sunburn experience all over again! The tour covering five cities – Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Goa and Mumbai kick-started on February 16, 2010 in Pune, and was headlined by English DJ and Producer Funkagenda, who delivered one of the best sets of Sunburn 2010. For those who missed his set, this was their chance to experience the set of the year as Funkagenda powered the ‘Sunburn Hangover Tour’ in Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Goa and Mumbai on the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th February respectively.
Commenting on the Sunburn Hangover Tour, Mr. Shailendra Singhsaid,” We were extremely thrilled to see the response of the crowd for Sunburn Goa 2010. The energy and the excitement levels we saw at the festival were unbelievable. The EDM community is still buzzing and “hung over” from their unforgettable experience of Sunburn 2010 and their expectation levels drove us to conceptualize and create this new property entitled the ‘Sunburn Hangover Tour’. We have brought back what was perhaps one of the best gigs of the Sunburn 2010 Festival – Funkagenda. The Sunburn Hangover Tour, which is the first of its kind, will carry the Sunburn Funkagenda magic to fans across India.”
Funkagenda played great tracks that made his set one of the best at SUNBURN 2010. In addition to that, the December 2010 festival video clippings were replayed give a complete Sunburn experience to fans who missed out on all the fun. The Sunburn merchandise recreated the festival experience and these definitely gave EDM fans a sense of being there and an idea of what the SUNBURN Goa 2010 experience was all about – music, community and experience.
Sunburn FAN JAM rocks the crowd
The Sunburn FAN JAM kicked off on Friday, 11 February, 2011 at 6.00 pm at the Percept Mumbai P2 Terrace to enable all the Sunburn and EDM (Electronic Dance Festival) Lovers to jam with the Sunburn team, make friends, share information and groove to the rocking Electronic Dance Music tracks!
The anticipation and excitement reached its climax when the winners of 'Sunburn Apprentice Contest' were announced!
