Moving from the shores of Goa, Sunburn, Asia's largest music festival for the first time hit the beaches of Mumbai on April 6, 2012 at the Tulip Star, Juhu. The festival that continued for 3 days – 6th to 8th April 2012 set the stage on fire with renowned artists and electrifying DJ performances.
Mumbai was geared up to experience the unforgettable summer party of the year with the mesmerizing music. To magnify this experience for every music lover, high-tech gizmos such as Liquid nitrogen bursts, CO2 canons, Cryoborgs, Pyrotechnics and LED effects were used. The two stages, built by award-winning international content designers Immersive and Revibe, have been named Electra and Helia. The mood for day was set by DJ Wilbur and later, Anish Sood, M.Mat & Charlee, Anil Chawla & Dale Anderson and Pleasurekraft pumped up the audience with their electrifying music. The crowd was enthralled by the music of Nawed Khan, Lost Stories and Mat Zo till the headliners for the day. Growling Mad Scientists, the psychedelic trance duo, Riktam Matkin and Bansi Quinteros, totally set the stage on fire!The After-party –‘Afterburn’ perfectly ended the day1 of this musical extravaganza. Day 2 scaled up the energy of Sunburn enthusiasts as Vipul Angirish began the party with his set. Rohit Barker, Jitter, Wire Framez and Brute Force enthralled the audience all noon. Music lovers grooved to the beats of Arjun Vagale, Shapeshifters and Fergie until late evening. Sunburn Mumbai saw Mumbaikars flaunting their best summer wear – shorts, tees, caps, sunglasses, day dresses and flip-flops showcasing a snippet of Goa in Mumbai. Later, Skazi
electrified the stage with their LIVE performance, leaving the crowds totally awestruck. At Afterburn, Riktam & Bansi, Karan ‘Third Eye’ and Janux ensured that people grooved until their feet couldn’t take it anymore. Arjun Rampal, Suzanne Roshan, Mehr Rampal and Yash & Avanti Birla also joined in the summer fun.
As the sun set on the city of Mumbai on Sunday evening, EDM lovers lived through the last few hours of what was one of the most banging weekends ever.The day saw India’s youngest DJ, Shaan, who killed the scene through the afternoon. RayG, Bay Beat Collective and B.R.E.E.D gripped the music lovers. Vachan Chinnappa, Clement D’souza, Sultan & Ned Shepard and Paul Thomas got the crowds raging to their beats. Pearl rocked the stage all evening while John Dahlback brought the ‘House’ down. Gareth Emery closed the festival with an unreal set that kept the crowd going right till his last beat was dropped. Sanjay Dutta and Aly & Fila performed all night at the Afterburn party. Arjun Rampal came along with his wife Mehr while Yash Birla was joined by wife Avanti. Sussane Roshan, Arshad Warsi, Shweta Salve, Pia Trivedi, Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson also joined in the revelry.
The response was overwhelming as Sunburn Mumbai not only reached its EDM enthusiasts but also it created a whole new set of fans and Sunburn loyalists.

Sanjay Pareek, President, Percept Out Of Home gave insight to the young minds who attended the seminar titled ‘Beyond Metros’. The 2 day seminar organised by Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) took place on January 18 & 19, 2012 at the EPI Centre in Gurgaon. Sanjay Pareek gave a power packed session on the rapid transformation and changes spanning rural India. He shared a glimpse on how technologies, amenities, media, products and services are penetrating the rural market and accelerating its growth and development. He also emphasized on the importance of the growth of rural markets across the country and the need to tap this emerging potential market supported with well researched target consumer segmentation and product profiling.
The participants were enthralled by the insights shared by Sanjay during the 2 day seminar as it gave them an opportunity to analyze and understand the growing strategic importance of small towns in the pan-India marketing plan and program.

Percept has now joined forces with entertainment powerhouse, Arjun Rampal, to launch ‘Lost’- The world’s first music festival driven by culture, tradition & soul.
Plans are on in full swing right now as a world class, music intensive road rally is being designed to reach the festival. Each festival-goer will get a roadtrip kit, complete with car decals, flags, merchandise, roadmaps, and GPRS co-ordinates to reach the interactive party pit stops. The festival itself is a music extravaganza with International & domestic talent coming together from across various music genres like Pop, Rock, Dubstep, House , Reggae , Drum & Bass , Metal and R&B.
‘Lost’ will bring families and friends together and remind people of a greater sense of belonging. It is a festival of the fans, by the fans, for the fans. The awards ceremony opened with Sachin Gupta performing the WOW anthem. There were performances by Pakistani band Junoon, Sophie Choudhry with Sumit Vinod's dance troupe, a special percussion act by DJ King, Terrence Lewis along with the Terrence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company and the finale act was by Bollywood actor, Chitrangada Singh also backed by Sumit Vinod's dance troupe. Television personality Mini Mathur and actress Tisca Chopra were the hosts of the ceremony which also saw a special segment hosted by Roshan Abbas and Brian Tellis and another by RJ Malishka. The awards show witnessed a special unveiling of 'The Great Indian Wedding Carnival' with actress Aditi Rao Hydari and the unveiling of a special handbook, Experiential Venues (ExV). The two new categories that were introduced this year are the Brand Experience of the Year (best use of experiential marketing) and Advertiser-funded Program of the Year with On-ground Connect. The Gitanjali WOW Awards 2012 celebrated 73 event/experiential campaigns, including the special honours like the WOW Paradigm of the year, WOW LIVE Patrons of the year and the WOW LIVE Personalities of the year.
