Percept Pictures released its much-awaited movie Aashayein on August 27. A special screening of the movie took place at PVR Cinema – High Street Phoenix, Mumbai on August 26. Director Nagesh Kukunoor, the female leads Sonal Sehgal and Anahita Nair were amongst the cast and crew of Aashayein who walked the Red Carpet at the special screening. Other celebrities who attended the premiere included Ayesha Takia, Jacqueline Fernandez, Payal Rohtagi, and Rohit Roy with wife Mansi Joshi-Roy.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director, Percept Limited said, “We are extremely excited and optimistic about the release of our much-awaited movie Aashayein. The movie is, just as the title suggests, a film which focuses on hope and teaches us to live life today and not tomorrow. The philosophy of the film, if truly followed, is liberating.”
‘Aashayein’ is the story of a compulsive gambler who discovers the true meaning of fortune and life through a dramatic turn of events. It is the story of Rahul’s journey from darkness to light. The movie is an inspiring, bittersweet fable that reminds the viewer that life is short, and how to make the best of it. The film stars John Abraham, Sonal Sehgal, Farida Jalal, Anahita Nair, veteran actor Girish Karnad, and also has a special appearance of Shreyas Talpade.
Launch of Percept’s ‘Creative Cell’ – an interactive platform for Perceptites to share knowledge, actively brainstorm and hone creativity
“Creativity is the process of bringing something new into being, an act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Everybody has some traits of creativity in them, but they don’t make the effort to transform it.” These were the words of Mr. Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director, Percept Ltd while conversing with aspiring Perceptites at the launch of Percept’s ‘Creative Cell’ on August 19, 2010.
Conceptualized by Mr Karan Singh, the ‘Creative Cell’ is an interactive platform for Perceptites towards sharing and discussing ideas, and honing innovation and creativity. The basic objective of this initiative is to bring together all the creative brains of Percept and provide them with a platform where they can share knowledge, resources and ideas, brainstorm on creative problems and new challenges, and add value to their work. Led by Mr Shailendra Singh, the ‘Creative Cell’ will also comprise of Robert D’silva, National Creative Director – AMO, Paras Kanini, National Creative Director, P9 Integrated, Chaitanya Rele, Brand Design Director, Percept /H, and Prathamesh Ghate, Executive Creative Director, Percept /H. The ‘Creative Cell’ will offer Knowledge Sharing Sessions at regular intervals, a ‘Creative Cell’ Blog on the Percept Intranet, and Knowledge Building Forums.
The ‘Creative Cell’ offers a fantastic platform for Perceptites to explore the creative genius within and interact with their peers to source ideas and add value to their work. As Mr Shailendra Singh rightly added –“The power of creativity is enormous – we need to unite and rock it.”
