Sanjay Ahire joins Percept Picture Company as Chief Operating Officer – Feature Films

Sanjay V. Ahire has joined Percept Picture Company as the Chief Operating Officer – Feature Films. Percept Picture Company is a division of Percept Limited, an entertainment, media and communications company.
 
Sanjay holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University post which he pursued his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Prior to joining Percept, Sanjay was running his own marketing consultancy agency ‘Morphidea Ideations’, and handled clients like Zee Learn, Chaupaati Bazaar and Beyond Dreams, to name a few.
 
Sanjay has extensive expertise in the arena of Brand & Product Management, Rights Management, Programming, Sales and Business Development in the Media and Entertainment domain. During his 12 years in the industry, Sanjay has also been associated with companies like Sony Music, Radio Mirchi, Reliance Entertainment, and Tangerine Digital Entertainment. Sanjay was also part of PPC’s startup team in 2005-06 and was responsible for the marketing and distribution of some of PPC’s early successes including ‘Phir Milenge’ and ‘Hanuman’.

Sanjay will be heading PPC’s Feature Film SBU and overseeing every aspect of marketing, sponsorships and monetization. PPC has an interesting list of movies ready for theatrical release starting with Madhur Bhandarkar’s Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer ‘JAIL’ in November 2009 and ‘Raat Gayee Baat Gayee’ in December 2009. Other films ready for release include Priyadarshan’s ‘Bumm Bumm Bole’ starring Darsheel Safary; Shamin Desai’s Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘24x7Raftaar’; Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Aashayein’ starring John Abraham;  ‘Yeh Hausla’; and Marathi theatre director Chandrkant Kulkarni’s first feature venture titled ‘Carry on Pandu’ starring Ranvir Shorey, Om Puri and Anupam Kher.
