Percept plans to build and strengthen its asset based businesses through Talent and Manish Porwal will take on the role to lead the Percept Talent Management (PTM) as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Percept will revamp its Talent business model with Manish Porwal at its helm.  His role will entail driving PTM’s vision 2010 based on a 5-point charter –

  • To build Talent Asset base
  • To build assets for in-house Talents and Clients
  • To build and provide long-term “Surround Brands” for its Talent
  • To build and launch ‘Talent AOR’ Business
  • Build industry Best Practices

On taking up the new assignment at Percept, said Mr Porwal, “The idea of dealing in human capital and being able to leverage their strength in enhancing brand value gives me goose pimples. I have spent more than 12 years in media and marketing and bring to this new world, nothing but my core skills of understanding and developing business, brands, people, ideas and opportunities. Over the years, Percept has emerged as an innovative and progressive brand in the entertainment and communication space and has been a pioneer in the professional talent management space with little close competition. I am excited at the prospect of doing something new, leveraging my background, core skills and Percept’s capabilities.

It’s a great opportunity to be involved in building an Asset portfolio, which can then be monetized and leveraged over time. Even while I thank Starcom for giving me the best 4.5 years of my professional life, I am eagerly looking forward to my new role in PTM”

Said Mr Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director, Percept Holdings, “The business of Talent is huge. We have spent 14 years in this space, but I believe we have only just begun. If learnings from the developed nations are any indication, one day all Talent in India will be owned, managed and leveraged by Talent Companies. With Manish’s background and commitment to the Vision, I am sure Percept will have a significant role to play towards this change.”
