Said Alok Bharadwaj, Vice President, Canon India Pvt. Ltd., “Everything begins with the goal. Canon has embarked upon a massive scaling up on growth to double our revenues to Rs 800 Crores by 2008 from a level of Rs 400 Crores in 2006. Apart from other enablers, brand building is a Big focus area. We have earmarked Rs 40 Crores as our spends in A&P in 2007. With growth, this will only increase over next few years. The focus is on more localization both in message as well as media innovations. Our constant challenge is media buys and choosing vehicles in making spends effective. We aim to become No 1 in all regions/states & cities in all our businesses. This micro leadership means increase in our market shares market by market. As part of the strategy, Canon India initially targeted the Mumbai market aggressively with the 'Aamchi Mumbai' campaign. Under this project, Canon invested around Rs. 10 crores through advertising, promotions, below the line activities and working towards more engagement with partners with the aim to increase Canon's presence and mindshare in Mumbai. The assignment was given to Percept/H & Allied Media had undertaken the media duties for the same. The outcome was excellent in both creatives as well as media buys. We are very pleased with their performance and consequently have appointed them as the media agency nationally apart from Dentsu. ” Said Mr. Shripad Kulkarni, COO, Allied Media Integrated Communications Pvt. Ltd, “We are delighted with this prestigious win. We will leverage our Group’s expertise in delivering 3600 Solutions and partner Canon India in executing their aggressive Marketing Plans.
